Know what metadata can contain
EXIF and related metadata may include camera model, capture time, orientation and other fields. Some images may also contain location information, depending on device settings and export history.
Before sharing a sensitive photo, decide whether the recipient needs the original metadata at all.
Create a fresh delivery copy
Exporting a standard image through a browser conversion path creates a new output file. For many standard image routes, this avoids carrying over the source's original metadata structure, but you should not treat that as a universal guarantee for every format.
Use our local converter to create a separate JPG, PNG or WebP delivery copy, then inspect the file with a metadata viewer if metadata removal is critical.
